Meet our Head Chef
The Wildebeest Head Chef, Fabio Miani, is proud to be Italian born with a passion for cooking inspired by his father. Fabio grew up watching his father cook at home for the family, experimenting with new recipes and making new dishes using produce from the family garden. At the age of 15 he knew he wanted to be a Chef and was lucky enough to study at the prestigious Istituto Erminio Maggia, one of the very best Catering Colleges of Professional Cookery in the north of Italy. He moved to England aged 18 and joined The Wildebeest in July 2018 as Senior Sous Chef quickly progressing to take up the role of Head Chef. He was crowned Norfolk Chef of the Year in 2019 after beating off the leading Norfolk chefs to be awarded the title.
He loves working with Norfolk produce and under the guidance of Chef Patron Daniel Smith he continues to be committed and dedicated to increasing his knowledge and developing his skill set allowing him to further advance his career.
