A flavour of Autumn in Norfolk
Ripening blackberries, sweetening chestnuts and burgeoning forest fruits are a hallmark of Autumn. The acorns, conkers and sweet chestnuts are ripening, getting ready for their time to fall.
Autumn is a real favourite here at The Wildebeest and we are fortunate that Norfolk offers so many things to see, do and taste taking in the very best of the season.
If you plan on getting out and about, whether you prefer the coast, countryside or city – it’s the perfect time to explore.
COAST
Norfolk can surely claim to have some of the best wildlife in the country and Autumn is a great time to visit. There’s an opportunity to see hundreds of Grey Seals on the coast as they prepare to have their ‘pups’ – but please keep your distance.
COUNTRYSIDE
In the countryside at nearby Whitlingham Country Park, the trees are beginning to take on the stunning hues of the Autumn season and you may be lucky enough to spot bats, voles, foxes or even otters and some fascinating fungi too.
CITY
If you prefer the bustle of the city, then medieval Norwich is only a short drive away and it’s perfect for both shopping and sightseeing too. It will soon become all dressed up as the festive season approaches; so don’t forget to bring your ‘Christmas List’.
We look forward to welcoming you to ‘Our Norfolk’ this Autumn.
See you soon!
